My older PC was working fine under 98se. My new one has a dual boot and there is a conflict between my Card D+ and DSL PCI modem (and USB modem too) in 98se partition. I can either use one or the other. They are both working fine under XP partition. I've tried every IRQ/DMA combination on sound card....moved modem to different PCI slots (can't change the IRQ on modem). Tried every driver available for both. Is there something I should be looking for in BIOS or CMOS? (has latest BIOS installed)...abit VH6-T. Card D+ is using the one ISA slot. I use 98se because other music hardware and software is not compatible with XP/2000.

Just remembered....I did have the Card D+ IRQ on 7 on old PC and it only works in 10 now (same as modem)...like I said though, they are both working fine on XP partition.

I just checked the XP partition and Card D+ is on IRQ 7....DSL modem is on 10...So, any ideas why Card D+ no longer works on IRQ 7 in 98se but was fine in older 98se PC? I have it working with NT drivers in XP partition.

In you bios does it have a setting for PNP OS. If so 98se works better with it enabled and it might solve your problem.

The only down side is if XP is the same as 2k it does not like having it enabled.

It was disabled. I enabled it but didn't do the fix. I will remove and reinstall the Card D+ when I have time...it might work. Thanks.
