Hi guys I need to get more memory for my computer. I currently only have 2 gigs of PC2 8500 memory and looking to get 2 2gig sticks. In order for it to work, it has to be the same speed correct? Like 1066mhz on all of the sticks? Does the timing has to be the same as well?

This is what I have right now:

This is what I am looking to buy and need to know if all of them will work together:

If you guys suggest any other memory, please let me know! Thanks

Those are fine but won't like more than 2.1v. What OS are you using?

No, they do not need to be the same stock speed.

I would skip the reapers. Your paying twice the price for some fancy heatspreaders that really don't give you any benefits. A little bit of air flow will do much more good that giant fins. Your just not getting any performance benefits for the money.

Also keep in mind OCing four sticks can be a crap shoot and will possibly hurt your OC, especially considering your on the higher end as it is. Personally I would just get these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231166)and call it a day. Sell what you have now for a couple bucks and save yourself some headaches.

Thats what I was thinking about getting myself. So I should get rid of my old ones as well and just stick to 2 of these? I might go 8gigs instead then. Buy 2 sets of those G.Skill. What do you think?

Why pay $9 more for GSkill? The Reapers have the same ICs. Is there a space problem?
