View Full Version : shroud or no shroud?
so im about to build my first custom loop (currently waiting for the parts) and ive been wondering if/should i use a shroud with my rad and fans?
im going to have my MCR320 hanging off the back of my case with 3 noctua NF-P12's on pull. ive been doing some research and found a few different opinions including you should always use a shroud for pull. what do you think?

A shroud will give a small increase in cooling ability, possibly a decrease in noise depending on the fans you use and the rad you use, the fans set in push/pull or both.
My option? Not at all unless you have pushed your rad to the max potential and need every bit of ability before buying a new rad and or fans.
