Hi All,

I am new about here and new to water cooling. I have a cheap kit I bought just to bring the temps down on my Media Centre, currently has a Pentium D 820 (2.8Ghz), 3Gb DDR2 PC5300, 9600GT and other bits. Then I saw some cool builds on here and decided I wanted to have a try at Chilled Water Cooling. I am just wondering if I would be able to use the parts out of a bar fridge (120Litre) to complete this setup?

Thanks in advance :)

read the stickies in the extreme section, this also would be better placed there also. But to answer your question, nope will not work, they aren't designed to keep cooling, just to maintain a temperature.

+1

refrigerators are meant to work off and on, not continuously. What you'll want is a nice air conditioning unit. I can tell you now that it won't be cheap and unless you have some mad skills, you'll have a hard time building one yourself.

Cool thanks for the replies, dont really want to spend huge amounts so might just stick with my basic water cooling.

Thanks for all the replies :)
