Playstation controller on PS2? or DC or PC?

Will an arcade style Playstation controller work on a PS2 (to play old arcade games)?

And if I hack an extension cable to make a the same controller match up to a Dreamcast or a PC, will it work?

ha ha ha good luck with that 1 i dont think it will but who knows the psx controllers have to be duel shock or something like that the ps2 cotrollers are touch sensitive because a lot of games need it so the psx controller would need it too (this is what i have heard anyway):)
