In my experience I found that using my computer hooked up to my tv was better than using my Grandparents DVD theater... But I am kinda biased toward my computer under any circumstances:p
Cool glad to hear it,I was going to go buy a DVD Player, but if the puter works as good I will give it a try..Thanks

And if you have a good sound system for your tv and a good sound card you can make your computer a more functional part of you Home Theater setup. I never had to worry about sound cause my comp speakers are REALLY nice (IMO) but if you want mind boggling sound hook it ALL up;) And if you have any problems with it just ask... someone around here will know how to fix it:D
Well I have the Sound Blaster live but I have a very good sound system with my sterio,I want to try to figure that out.

Which version of the SBLive do you have?
Well i used two cards for playin dvds on my comp and TV.
The first was ASUS 3800 tnt2 32mbTVR and the second, which im still usin is v7700deluxe gts 64mb.
the dvd rom is also from asus(hehe i am ASUS fan;)) E-608
Im more that satisfied its not a big difference from a DVD player as a stnadalone component..if there actually is any difference @ all..
Well glad to hear that Trap,I am going to try it as soon as I get an extra S Vidio cable:D
And as for my Sound card,it isnt the 5.1 it is earlier than that.
I forgot to mention that i also have a Live card it is SbLive!1024...4.1 live surround its quite enough to s#1t your pants when watchin a movie lol
Well I went and rented a DVD and it wont let me switch from monitor to tv,I hooked up the S Vidio cable, but when I try to switch the settings it goes right back to the monitor setup..
Any ideas?
