This is an email I sent CrazyPC this afternoon:
To: CrazyPC Support
Subject: RE: KingMax PC2700 TinyBGA RAM. Attn: Nick

Hi Nick,
I received this order (#21841) a few days ago and I
was disappointed to find that the markings were "-06"
which I have never seen mentioned anywhere. Wierd...

The reason for my first email {which I had attached to this one}was to verify the type of RAM I would be receiving and
according to your reply below it was going to be "-05"
since that was all you had in stock. I was considering
cancelling the order if I did not know what type I was
receiving but after I got your email I figured "great
it will be the -05."

Anyway, I would like to exchange the RAM I have for
some that is marked "-05" as this is what I was
expecting to receive. Both the sticks I have are
unused, and I only broke the sticker seal on one of
the static bags to check the markings. I don't want to
be a big PITA, and just want to exchange this with
some -05. Hopefully you could check this one order and
make sure I get sent the correct stuff.

The reason I chose Crazypc was not the price, but your
fantastic customer service as listed at
www.resellerrating.com. I am sure that you will
continue this history of great customer service in
this case. I hope to be using Crazypc for future
purchases as well, since this RAM is for a system I am
assembling in the next month or so and I will need
more items for sure.

So, should I just use the site for an RMA#? Also, when
I send it back, should I just address it normally or
can I put "Attn: Nick" on it?

And this is an email I received about an hour later:
Sorry I don't recall speaking to you about the memory markings, but if I did say that we had only the 05 marked ram in-stock then it was an honest mistake. There is no problem to exchange the memory. I am 100% certain that all of our current stock is marked 05, so that may have been the last of a 06 batch. If you wish to exchange the memory please submit an RMA request form and indicate that you would like to exchange the memory for 05 memory.
Mark on the description area that Nick approved the exchange and we won't charge for return shipping. You can download the RMA request form from http://www.crazypc.com/terms.htm.

Regards,
Nick

:D :D ROCK ON! :D :D This company is definitely getting more business from me. Not even an additional shipping charge! Anyway, this ends my personal Kingmax DDR333 PC2700 -5ns RAM saga...I will post system info when I have it all put together.

Gee, thanks :/

I posted there as well, I figured I would put this here too, though, since I and others have been going through this with various vendors.

Without delving into the "comments" section for CrazyPC at www.resellerratings.com <---- Bookmark it! the outfit has an outstanding rating. Sometimes people rig the "vote," so I dunno how great they really are.

Agreed... Their prices aren't always the BEST, but their service is. I ordered an MC462 from them back when they first came out. The base wasn't as lapped and shiny as I expected when I received it. I sent them an email asking about it and received a phone call about an hour later saying that they had opened a few of the other boxes they got from Swiftech and verified that the base on all of them was the same. They looked at the review I had referenced for my expectations and said that Swiftech had probably polished the base a bit more before sending out a review unit, which made sense, but that all of them were verified to be perfectly flat. I did end up lightly lapping mine, and found that it was in fact perfectly flat, but the courtesy of the phone call only an hour after I had emailed them was great... Everything I've ever bought from there has been fantastic and the service is second to none.
peace
John

Yeah, their service is great. I have bought a few Vantec fans and some round cables from them with no issue...Would shop with them again.
