Everytime I increase my FSB to 142Mhz, my computer will lock up, and some of my files become corrupted. I want to know if i can surpass the 142MHz barrier.

Currently, my FSB is 141Mhz and my Multiplier is x9, Core Voltage is 1.850V.

System:

Abit Kt7a (raid)
IBM Deskstar ata100 (60 gig)
Winfast GeForce 2 GTS
Sound Blaster 5.1 Live
ThermalRight SK-6

I have a Amd 1Gig T-Bird currently running at 1280Mhz

It's quite possible you need more voltage to your processor as a 280MHz overclock on it is very good already. Might also need more VDIMM voltage. I wouldn't think that 141MHz on the PCI bus would cause any devices to fail as of yet.

What kind of temps are you getting?

I just dropped my core voltage from 1.850V to 1.775V....

CPU Temp - 39* C
System Temp 26* C

RAM - Crucial 512MB CAS2
