Does anybody here own one of these cards? I have this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161247&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-) one and I need the bios for it. I stupidly flashed the card with a bios that I thought was the same and forgot to back up my original. So now I really need the original bios and I can't find it anywhere.:bang head If one of you guys could help me I'd be eternally greatful.:):):):)
heres the bios for the 512mb version. not sure the differences but it is from an HIS.

Thanks Whisky, but I don't think the 512 version is compatible with the 1gb one. And I've already tried that one from techpowerup, it was a no go I got some serious screen corruption during boot up and very poor performance during testing.
I have the same card, just not sure how to get copy of Bios file to give it to you? Let me know what I need to do & I'll send you file!!

You can just use gpu-z to save your bios to your computer or submit it to techpowerup data base then all you have to do is email it to me or upload it to a file share site. When you open up gpu-z you will see a little icon next to the bios version. Click on that and it will give you option to save to file or submit to data base.
And thank you very much for helping me out bro. :)
Bios sent to your email, let me know if it workes for you.

Gonna give a try right now
thanks bro
Edit: It did not work, bios version is different so these newer cards must have different ram or something because I'm getting lots of artifacts and instability.
If I move the ram even one notch higher in overdrive the whole thing locks up.
My stock bios looked something like this VER011.010.000.001.000000
The one I just tried from your card is VER011.013.000.001.030514
So i'm guessing they must have changed something hardware wise because the manufacture date on my card is 12-08

Did you try contacting HIS tech support? Don't know if they can help, but they may be able to point you to the right bios.

Yeah, I haven't heard back from them yet.
I just bought the HIS 1GB card. Will my BIOS help you ??? If so I can email it to you.

PS: I bought the exact same card. My BIOS is:VER000.000.000.000.000000 and shows a BIOS date of June 25, 2008

You sir have the correct bios for my card, ZOMGVTEK over at XS sent me a copy this afternoon. It worked like a charm but thanks for the offer all the same. Is that a strange version number for a bios or what? Heres a link to the file for any one else who might need it.

I also uploaded this BIOS as well. I thought the all zero BIOS version was a bit odd. After seeing your issue here I'll wait a bit before I try to edit my BIOS. Some of the programs that were linked in this thread either do not see my card properly or there is some kind of so called 'driver' issue. I guess at this point I'm wondering if the HIS card we have is a reference board or not.

I never had an issue with stock bios it's self, I flashed the wrong one to my card by accident. I got the correct one and modified it myself so now it's fine and working like it should.
Yes, I want to edit and re-flash but it seems the editing programs are not working right at the moment. Not sure if this is Vista 64 related or just my own ineptness lol

Have you guys tried RBE (Raedeon Bios Editor)? http://www.techpowerup.com/rbe/ When my 4870x2 gets here on the 10th, i'm gonna use this to up the fan speed and flash it to the cards.

Try using RBE and run atiflash from a usb stick to flash it. I'm running Vista 64 too and RBE works perfectly. Don't use Winflash unless your sure it'll work with your Vista install. It won't work on this install of Vista but it has on others.

RBE works great but you can just use CAT 9.1 to set your fan speed from ATI overdrive section.

Ah, I see said the blind man. The 4870x2 will be my first run at an ATI based card. Thanks for the info. I still plan on flashing the cards with a beefier bios (nothing to stressing) and apply all the changes to the fan and clocks then. Thanks agan.
