i am having serious problems with dolby digital live and my sound card and i am very frustrated, the rig is as follows

Intel C2D E7200
Asus P5Q
2x1 GB Corsair DHX DDR2 800
XFX 9600GSO
X-Fi Titanium PCIe
Windows XP SP3

the sound card is attached to my receiver via optic cable, the problem is that sond keeps "disappearing" from time to time and i have to disable and enable DDL to "fix" things, secondly at times i have noticed it automatically switching DDL on and off

the reason i got the card in the first place was to enjoy 5.1 gaming, watching movies was no sweat for me in the first place coz i had reciever to decode the signals which were passthrough by onboard sound card's SPDIF

is there any way to fix it? yeah i am using creative drivers, would auzentech drivers work with my card and will they solve the problem?

i had a problem with my drivers defaulting my sound settings constantly. i dont know if its related in any way as i dont use an optical out but i found that unchecking the box for Synchronize with Control Panel solved the problem. may be totally unrelated but give it a shot. good luck :)

thanks for the suggestion tried it but still facing the same problem, the sound either automatically switches between DDL enable/disable (which i can tell by by receiver and by sudden sound "gap") or the sound stops coming
