I've just learned something

Lastnight I left my computer on so it could Fold. Today I woke up and checked it out and it said waiting for packets. I guess you can't use a firewall when folding.:mad: :(

I sit behind a Linksys DSL router firewall and I fold 27/4. I have never had anythinkg like that happen. What firewall do you have? Software or hardware?

i have zone alarm. works fine.

I was using Zone Alarm.

you have to go into zone alarm and tell it which programs to allow to go in and out of your computer. whenever i get a new program that needs the 'net a dialog pops up and asks me if i want to allow it to access its server or whatnot.

if you just installed zonealarm this could be the problem. otherwise maybe you accidentally told it not to ask you about programs. :confused:

I set it up to be able to run even if I locked it. It was the only program able to get through the lock.
