Seriously though, in terms of the clockspeed the RAM runs at, the RDRAM itself runs faster. But it has much more latency than DDR so the CPU has to wait longer when it requests data. So, they are about equal in terms of real data presented to the CPU.
In terms of pure and absolute performance, RDRAM on Itel850 has a slight (<5%) but noticable edge vs a P4 on DDR2100. Versus PC2700 on a platform like the SiS645 chipset, I believe they are close enough to call it a tie. Back when RDRAM was outrageously more expensive than DDR, you would have paid a hefty premium for that slight increase. Now that they are about the same price, you have to consider the mobo too, and I believe Intel850 chipset mobo's are more expensive than competing DDR solutions like the SiS645. Check around tho...
