Hi guys, another Smoothwall question. Their forums are having a registration problem still, so you're stuck with my questions :)

I'm using SW3.0 with and my purple interface is "blocked with exceptions". I have someone on my network who likes to play POGO. Pogo lists 2 IPs that a PC needs to have access to but they constantly use different ports so port forwarding isn't an option.

If I assign the laptop in question a static address and put it in the "always allowed" section, it works fine. Problem is that isn't very secure.

Where/how should I configure the Smoothwall to allow access to 159.153.235.1 and 159.153.235.2, any TCP port?

Thanks in advance!

Can you put a port range in rather than just a port number when configuring port forwarding from these IPs? I'm running an untangle now so I don't have a smoothwall up anymore, or I could be of more help. :(

I'll check that, thanks for the suggestion. The issue, if I remember from memory, is that you don't specify the remote IP when opening ports and I'm hesitant to open a large port range to the world. I'll check your suggestion though, thanks!
