is there any other way than air and water cooling to cool a cpu?

Heatpipes
Liquid Nitrogen
Submerged in Mineral Oil
Submerged in 3M Flourinet
Submerged in dry ice

All that come to mind for me, off the top of my head.

what do you do with the heatpipes?

It looks a lot similar to a water cooled setup (At least some of them do). It uses a heat exchanger on the CPU and uses pipes that can run along the inside walls of your case. Typically true heat pipe setups are not implemented in systems beyond 900MHz.

I posted a link to a complete heatpipe cooled system for sale on ArsTechnica's OpenForums months ago.

Here (http://www.benchtest.com/heat_pipe1.html) is the coolest (pun intended) heatpipe I have ever seen.
