View Full Version : Windows2000 Problem Help Fast Please

Ok well i wanted to format and reinstall a new comp of windows2000. The problem is am useing the 4 floppies (all worked good before + i made a new set))
once it finish loading the drivers from floppy 1 i inset floppy 2 and say hit enter to contiune but seem like the keyboard is not working.

It works fine in windows and in the bios any help plz?

No one have any ideas?
Is there anyother way i can format my drive that already has windows on it and reinstall a new copy??

when you put the windows 2000 disc in doesn't a splash screen come up?

on the splash screen it should give you 4 options. 1 is to upgrade from your current installation to 2000. 2 is to install it on a seperate partition (you should be able to install over your old partition this way) and 4 is to install extra stuff. don't know if this helps or not but from the way your question was worded, this is what i came up with :)

Why are you using the floppys ???
boot your PC with a bootable floppy go directly to folder \i386 on your CD drive and type winnt
the setup will begin...

of course back up your files before doing that... ;)
