I was just about to take the saw to one that Joe C. sent me. Glad I read this first! No point in needless destruction. :D

I bet Hoot would have found liquid if he cut his up :)

Hoot would have just pulled out his magnetohydrodynamic microscope

I'm thinking that they found no liquid because it probably evaporated as soon as it hit the air..... its not like they use water in heatpipes

I remember reading that some heatpipes has something similar to freon in them

Low pressure Heat Pipes can use water, but I'd think the ideal liquid would be one that boils at say 30C or so. I would not expect the lower pipe area to have standing liquid in it. I'd expect the wicking to just be moist.

I think one of the better features ... is the fixed clip - IT DOESN'T SLIDE AROUND!!!!!

the HHC-001 sits perfect centered everytime - as designed!

Warning
If you buy one of these, look closely at the baseplate. The one I have sitting here has a bulge beneath the clip fixing mount. The mount appears to be staked into the copper baseplate and my guess is that they used too much force staking this one. It actually pushed a small mound out beneath the clip mount almost above where the baseplate mates with the CPU core. That bulge could make the baseplate ride up above the majority of the CPU core surface and you could either overheat the core or due to the concentrated force crack the core. The bulge is evident when looking at the base while light reflects off of it. I have tried capturing it with a camera, but it is difficult to get the lighting right. The good news is the bulge looks like it can be effaced by lapping the base, which I might add sure needs it. Its so rough, you can strike a white tipped match off of it.
