there are 2 parts to this post i fiorst made it at Anand and i was told to also try here so....

Just nlocked my XP 1700. only took me 3 tries but what the hay im new at this. anyway its up and runnin at 11.5x133 at default voltage. and its stable probilly bona go up to 12x later tonight see how it works. then maby go higher if all gooes well. i was just woundering why i dont have a 12.5x multiper on my EpoX 8KHA+ mobo it goes 11,11.5,12,13,14,15. is this common or do i just have a strange mobo? i also installed my Sk-6 with the delta screamer and its really not that loud and it keeps my comp 3 degrees cooler maby more when the AS2 sets so im gonna keep it

well i tried running it at 12X133 at 1.87v it boots into windows but really unstable which kinda annoys me. so im back at 11.5x133 so i decided to play with the FSB put it at 140 where it was before i unlocked and i get a memory dump. as it turn out its unstable at any FSB greater the 136 and less then 140 anything over 140 memopy dump. so its running at 11.5x136 =1.57GHZ whick isnt all that mucg better then 11x140 = 1.540 GHZ. this dissapoints me greatly because after unlock i was only able to get 40 MGz faster. VERY DISSAPPOINTED. i running it on the EpoX 8KHA+ mobo. anyone know anything i can to to improve this or is this what im stuck at?

Welcome to the forums,

It is common for borads to not work right with the 12.5 or 13 multiplier the tend to work at one or the other only.

Try raising your memory voltage, some people with that board find it takes a good amount more to run at high fsb's than with using the same memory in other boards.

ok ill try that any suggestons on what to up the mem voltage to? i tried the 13x multiplier and it wouldent evenpost bios i had to clear the cmos bios to get it to start again. and i dont have a 12.5x multiplier and im woundering why that is.

Well it makes a difference as to what kind of memory you have some can take higher voltages better than others.
I would look thru the epox motherboard section and see what other's are using.
It can be dangerous to use too much voltage so if you go over 2.7-2.8v you may be taking a risk.
Some people say they run at 3.2v without problems so its up to you.

Crucial is good about voltage, a lot of members here have the 8KHA+ so if you need any more help/questions just post in the epox section.
