so the question is basicly in the title. obviously the setup is fine for harddrives, since one on each side of the 4 disk array can fail and it will still function. but i wanted to know what i needed to do to get the data If the motherboard failed. how would i access the data?

what are my options?

should i buy a duplicate board?

get a raid card?

set up a backup solution? (like what?)

I have the same question as above. I assume that you could move the drives to any other board with an ICH10R chipset.
