Before anything else, yes I read the sticky.

Now I read all of the different ways to use 2 PSUs, but I don't know if any of them were actually combining the 12v rails from the 2 power supplies (well one was, but that guy was using circuitry and running it through a 4pin).

So the first question is, what about combining the 12v rails from the PSUs? Even using 3 or 4 PSUs instead of just 2. All the power needs to be going to the motherboad.

Second question, what about combining 12v rails from the same PSU? Instead of having a PSU making 20A on 2 or 3 different rails, just one rail with 40A/60A?

All in the quest to save a few dollars. If this stuff is possible then I might end up wiring the 5 or so PSUs I have currently powering old fans on a AC duct in my room plus a few firework specials from newegg. I'm looking to make around 500W on the 12V rail, or anything else I can get pumping into the motherboard.

Yes, I know I would probably be better off just using a good 500-600W psu, but it might be fun to give this a shot as well, seeing how I am taking the cheap route on everything else in this little project of mine.... :D

EDIT: well nevermind, it took me a few hours to remember that I have a sever with twin 500W PSUs and all that parallel hardware whichonecrafteddat-ery as well. Thanks for all the repli....nevermind.

You can still reply if you have nothing better to do, I'll find some cheap system to test it on if I ever get the time. :)
