anyone up for some diablo 2: LOD?

if anybody wants to play some diablo 2 online sometime i can host the game and i'll give you my IP. just send me an email or a PM and i'll get in touch. it'd be nice to play with someone other than my room mate that isn't on battle.net.

i'm a level 22 assassin right now but its constantly growing. i'm reinstalling windows tomorrow (hopefully) which means tomorrow night is the earliest i'll be able to play. if anyone wants to play, just holler!

Just uninstalled diablo2 today, actually...I had a lvl 23 necro, which isn't bad since I only started on like wednesday! I was playing too much, and foresaw myself neglecting classes and homework, so forced myself to stop :p

Lvl 45 Druid . . . . I think. I uninstalled it (you read, fu*ked something up and had to format) a while ago, but had the forsight to back up my character. Just haven't gotten around to reinstalling it yet.

i've only been playing for a week or so so level 22 ain't too bad.
i just started on act 3 and i'm looking for that dude's brain under the fayer jungle.

i used to play diablo 2 hardcore until the LOD expansion. havent played that one yet...

is it worth buying? ill probably get it after exams to avoid the distractions.

you play on east or west (if that still exists)?

i only played online once (US East) and it was horribly laggy. i play by myself or with my room mate. but a direct connection IP game shouldn't lag.

the expansion is awesome. i haven't played D2 without it though so i can't say what changed.

im on US West. got a 96 nova sorc, 88 cb sorc, 83 mule sorc, 67 hydra sorc, 76 assasin, 81 necro, 81 pali, 78 muled zon, 72 zon, 83 javy zon, 61 druid, 80 sword barb, and lvl 47 frenzy barb.

im not playin much right now cuz im redoin my network here. usually able to hit lvl 80 on a new char in bout day and half though :)

left messages on here seein if peeps want to play with me. noone ever seemed interested. o well :p

Hey, I can't find that dude's eyeball!!! I know it's supposed to be in the spider cave, but I think I found the spider cave, and I can't find that doggone eyeball anywhere!! I did find the brain, though. I'm a level 23 paladin. This game is ultra addictive - got me in trouble with my wife last night. :rolleyes:

wellz bnet seem to have a really bad case of "duping" over this past weekend, which caused all that major lag... But as of last nite the problem was fixed by blizzard. But now they have to decide what to do with all those duped items, as the market is now TOTALLY saturated with once very rare items, and now trading prices are all messed up.... :D

I tried playing a direct connect TCP/IP game (through Open Battlenet maybe, can't remember) when I first got Diablo 2, with a friend, but whoever joined the others game would get booted off after a few minutes of playing. We both have cable modems and lived ~30 miles from each other.

We couldn't ever find each other on (regular or Open, can't remember) Battlenet either.

Has this been improved any?

from what i used to do, id organize and set up personal password-protected servers in which only people i knew from private messaging could enter.

as for comm, you can talk with them directly as long as you know their exact account name. at least thats how it was when i played.

u can make friend lists too. just type /f list and to add and subtract friends /f add and /f remove

so,

if i wanted to add a friend with account name *yamama

id do /f add yamama

notice no star in the command above

if your friends add u too, then it's considered a mutual friendship and it tells u when each other logs into battle.net and goes into games.

guilds are the best thing in LOD, that way we can share mules and help eachother gain levels a LOT faster.

I am pretty much a rookie at this game, so don't laugh at my questions...:D Can I use my single player character in a multiplayer game? I went to a multiplayer game last night for a few minutes: I had a level one paladin, and everyone else had level 90+ dudes - I felt like a little bug running around with elephants......where can I go play with other lowly bugs until I grow up a little?

if you go to "other multiplayer" and then click on battle.net then you can choose your single player character for online usage (i think that's how you do it!) if that isn't the way, jsut mess around a bit, but i can be done (i've done it) :)

Wellz u won't be able to take single player character onto bnet. And as for lvling, it doesn't really take that long if u have someone to rush u through hell. Lvled to 80 in a good days work. :D Just do some massive leeching in some hell cow runs. (tho u would need someone to kill baal for ya first in hell) :p

OMG.. bnet finally inplemented there solution for that lil mass duped escapade over the weekend... So they decide to delete all the duped items, but since they can't really detect with items are legit and which are fake they just delete the items if u have more than one... Also it appears to be the old dupe detector, where if you join a game and someone else has the same duped item, one or both will vanish. :mad: :eek: :mad:

I think i will stay off bnet until all this madness has blown over... :p

You can use your single player character in Open Battle.net and on TCP/IP games. That's where I got my k-rad 1337 set of armour for my druid.

I don' t play much on closed Battle.net, because of the rampant cheating and lamers. That and I can never find the time to keep an online character active (I always forget about them and Blizzard kills them off).
