I've recently obtained a Abit Ka7-100 and wanted to know what cpu can I get to be the bank for the buck? I have now a celly 600mhz O/C to 928mhz. Using 90mm inlet & 80mm exhaust with vantec HSF. And I get terrific temps. So O/C in my case will not be a problem. Anyone know whats a good cpu for this MB that will give me nice mhz with just air cooling. And please let me know whats a good HSF for a Slot A cpu if you know.

If i'm not mistaken, that's a slot A motherboard, right? Take a look at the CPU Database first, that will give you a good idea of what cpu to buy that will overclock well. after that try pricewatch or newegg to purchase components.

Yes it is a slot a motherboard. But the thing about me checking in the database is that none of them tell me if the cpu is a slot a or a socket a.

Generaly all the Athlons are Slot A, the thunderbirds came in the Slot A package also, so if u'll look for Athlons u can't make a mistake.
