Is it a good thing to do or not? I know it will highly increase the bond with the HSF and CPU core. Will doing this make my HSF work more efficiantly to cool the CPU's core since the tention between them will be stronger then with the pads stiil attacted to the top four corners of the chip? Please let me know what you think becuz I will do it if there're are no problems with my idea. Thanx!:)
I would leave them on mainly because they will help prevent the heatsink from crushing the core. They are there for a reason.

Do NOT remove them. You will run the serious risk of damaging the core. They stabilize the tension of the heatsink.
Also, I don't think that you'll gain any cooling benefit anyway.

Agreed. Leave the pads right where they are. AMD's CPU's are distressingly fragile.

They squish down really easily anyway. Just out of curiosity, where did you hear that it would be in any way beneficial to remove them? The ONLY time I have ever have heard of people removing them is when using a shim.
