Just purchased the 7500 retail. Anyone experience any problems with this card? I have not been able to run the full 3D application in the DirectX Diagnostic tools, gave me an error message when trying to run 8.0 tests, worked for 7. It registers as Directx 8.1. Because of this I can't get 3DMark2001 working either. DirectX error message was: Faliure at step 5(GetDeviceCaps): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not avilable) and 3DMark2001 gave me this: 3DMark2001 requires a DirectX 8 compatible 3D accelerator. Also can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do to overclock this card.

what drivers are you using?

Currently I am using the new beta RV200 drivers for the 8500, which give me better preformance in 3DMark2000. I have tried the drivers that came with the card, the ones on ATI's Website, and now these ones.

I'm using the 7189 drivers w/ my 7500 w/o a hitch.

I've used PowerStrip to OC my Radeon VIVO; I tried the newest version of RadeonTweaker w/ the VIVO but that proggie just messed up the card. However, RadeonTweaker seems to be what the GTU is for the NVidia cards: http://radeontweaker.sourceforge.net/

Had lots of problems with the omega drivers.

Switched back to ati's drivers and reinstalled direct x. After that, everything was good.

Been using the Omega 1086 driver and have not had a problem. I also tested the 6011 fot the 8500, they worked well too, but for stability I use the omega 1086 tweaked version of the 3286 ATI apporved driver I believe it is called that for XP.
