Setup Info
1. Download and install Lineage 2. Fileplanet (http://www.fileplanet.com/lineage2/)
2. Fully update the client.
*3. Open your hosts file with notepad. (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc) (*VISTA users look below)
4. Insert the following line to the bottom of your hosts file.
24.196.40.72 L2authd.lineage2.com
216.107.250.194 nprotect.lineage2.com
5. Log In! (Account will be auto created at login)

*With Vista you need to run Notepad as an administrator:
1. Type notepad in your start menu
2. Right click and go to Run as administrator
3. Find and open your hosts file in that notepad
4. Edit in the new line and save

Though, the 50x EXP multiplier will definitely help. Only question is, how quick/easy will be be to get to the max level? I mean, there has to be SOME difficulty to get to the max level.

Also, how many people are on this private server?

might be interested, I want to check on a couple things but that seems to be an interesting idea assuming that :

PVP is doable
that there is enough people that I dont end up knowing who is ganking me by SN here
that I dont have to run across an entire zone just to find another player.

It just started, the number active is about 5-10 right now.

It's easy to start out, but it gets harder as you go up. It took me about 3-4 hours maybe to get to lvl 53, and now I'm killing 53 lvl monsters for about 2% exp.

With a Tyrant, leveling is a lot easier xD I have an orc destroyer.

i played on a private server with all theez weird russians who lived in canada (wtf? lol) got to lvl 80 with full red dragonscale stuff (no idea wut it was called lol) Pretty dam fun i have to say. We had all theez cool pvp battle things like very few hours. Goood times...xD

Just installed this last night. Haven't created a character yet. I beta tested L2 back in the day, and enjoyed it a fair amount except for the insane grind. We'll see how much better or worse it is now.

Yeah, this server is really running well, and my brother and I have been having a lot of fun by bypassing all the grinding crap. Good Server FTW.

1. Lineage 2 is a game that NCsoft making money off from monthly fees. It is a MMO. How is it possible for this private server to be "legal"? If they allow people host private servers for free, how do they(NCSoft) make money for themselves? Who will pay for monthly fee to play on official servers while they can play for free on private servers?
A bunch of private servers were taken down by authorities after NCsoft reported them. None of them charged players.

Confused? I am saying it is no way for "private" and "legal" to be in the same sentence when it comes to Lineage 2 server.

2. This game is a huge grind. The only fun part is castle siege where hundreds or even thousands players form clans and alliances fighting huge organized battles at the same spots for controlling the castles, however it only happens every 2 weeks on official servers. This game will not be fun for long for anyone unless such events take place a lot more often than just every 2 weeks.

anyone else having problems logging in today? i played a couple nights ago just fine, and now all i get is "logging you in. please wait a moment" and it never logs in.

Maybe someone reported to NCsoft and got the server shut down, just like OC101 suggested.

L2Nordic Closing

It is with quite some frustration that we have reached a decission wich will result in the closure of the L2Nordic server and community.

We have had a declining amount of ressources available (time and energy) and an equally declining activity amongst the dedicated administrators. There is no reason for us to keep the L2Nordic community and servers online if there are no players.

I would like to thank all the people what made the server possible the last two and a half years - Good luck and have fun!
