i was able to overclock my cpu to 1.55ghz with a 155mhz fsb and a 10x multiplyer without adjusting the voltage AT ALL it still says 1.81 in my bios and its running solid at this speed. also..155mhz is as high as my bios allow, is there any way i can reach higher speeds? it doesnt appear to be adjustable by jumpers, maybe a new version of Phoenix bios?

have you tried flashing your bios with the newest bios avaliable? You can usually get them from you notheboard manufactors website.

Increase your multiplier to 11 @ 140 will give you the same speed and then increase the fsb.

i went to my mobo manufacturers website and saw a bios update for "adds frequency detect settings for 2000+" which i beleive is exactly what i was looking for, but unfortunatly it appears i have no idea what im doing in DOS lol i tried a few times to do what the instructions said but apparently they arent helping. :(

alright welli read the "updating bios for newbies" and followed the instructions, i got pretty far before it told me i entered the wrong name.... :\ o well. i guess ill just run at 1.55 for a little while until i get a new motherboard so i can run DDR. any recommendations for hitting those high posts? also will the new AMD core be compatable with Socket A?
