hey just changed from AS Ceramique to OCZ freeze my idles and load temps went down noticeably at load my question is my cores are all slightly off in temp from eachother (QX6850 @ 3.667 1.425V) temps in idle range 43,38,36,46 right now. was wondering did i apply the wrong amount are all the cores suppose to be pretty miuch the same tmep?

Sounds like waterblock isn't seated properly, or the waterblock or cpu IHS aren't flat. What waterblock are you using?

No, those temp differences are typical (<10°>), though on the high side of what most people see. The heatspreader on the CPU also has TIM under it, between it and the cores. Temp differences are caused by the quality of that junction (assuming all the cores are loaded equally).

As for the improved cooling, tha may be due to just remounting the block. The only way to tell is to do multiple mounts (5-10) with each TIM. When you determine the best temp available from each TIM, those (best) results can be compared. Otherwise you're just throuing in the additional variable of good/bad mounts.
