I remember when i used to crunch seti on my old amd 2600+ that higher MHZ was king. Is that still the case? Im 99.999% sure it is, but just want to verify.

i imagine it would be? Faster CPU moves more data so why not??

does a high FSB do anything for you anymore? It only means you could use a quad with a low multi and get a decent oc out of it?

Wider data path to/from RAM... but FAH is not highly effected by this. With DDR2/3, bandwidth should not be the concern... raw cpu MHz is where the gains are made.

I'm not saying a one RAM config is not better than another... but the gains/losses in FAH production are in the neighborhood of 1~3% I would guess. Not worth the effort in tweaking out the RAM... one should always yield to the most stable config for effective and hassle free FAH production. :)
