Anyone have any experience with these? How is it compared to say, Bitspower? It's cheaper than bitspower so I was thinking of going for them. Will be using them with:

1 x mcr320
1 x mcr220
1 x xspc acrylic top for mcp355
1 x koolance 295 gtx waterblock
1 x Apogee gtz

Been reading around and know that there are issues with the Apogee GTZ with compression fittings. I read you need to use the o-rings that come with the swiftec barbs or double up on the o-rings. Other than that, was wondering about the rads and other parts.

Ok. I'll be using the orings that come with the swiftec barb then. also, can anyone comment on feser rotary 45 degree compression fittings? I made a mistake on the title, should have been 1/2 x 3/4 :(

you need to, at least that is what i read for the GTZ. it seems to work with success.

i personally think there a waste of money and would only put them in open, viewable, areas.

i sent a pm to someone who is using compression fittings and the GTZ, wait for his response on what you need to use.

Seen pics. Use Bitspower 45 degree barbs with the compression fitting about 3/4" away from the block itself.

I think I'll be using these:

The bitspower requires a separate compression fitting. Thats added cost and 2 potential failure points.

Ohh yea, that one too, I like the Bits, they are soo much nicer tho. What am I saying, I don't bling, I watercool.

I do both myself, gonna be pumping over 250 in some bitspower fittings pretty soon myself, course they'll never need to be replaced even when upgrading other gear.

I favor Conumdrum's approach myself; function over bling. That's why I use metal barbs and automotive worm drive SS hose clamps and either black tubing or the silver Tygon stuff. You can still make a damn nice looking loop without compression fittings. Personally, I have seen too many compression type fittings leak and fail out in industrial usage. Of course our cooling loops aren't running the pressures that we see in the oil industry either, but all the same I just don't entirely trust compression fittings.

hey spawn, sorry for late reply, i just got home from vegas.

on my set up, i just use the stock o ring for bitspower compression fittings, and dont have any problem, but my bro's setup (we have the same exact set up) had to use a thicker o ring from the stock gtz barbs bec. he said he had a leak when he used the o ring that comes with the bitspower. just dont forget to move the swiftech plate

here's mine;

when i used the bitspower's compressed fitting straight out, i had a major leak. what i did was, i just replaced the o-ring with the one from swiftechs barb. -they're thicker than the one from bitspowers compressed fittings
