3d Prophet ti500 Blue Orb question

Just order it for 260 some and should be here mid week. I see it has a blue orb on it but a two pin connector. The after market Orb has a three pin which I prefer as I have the Digital Doc 5 and want to monitor the fan. Does the fan have the yellow wire snipped to monitor rpm or to do what I want do I need to buy a Orb with a three pin?

Hooking the card into the Digital Doc is a decent idea. It may be possible to add a third RPM wire.

When you get the Video card, it looks like if you unscrew the fan from the base you can see if there is a unused third wire terminal or solder point.

You could always solder a third wire and rewire it to the digital doc using a conventional 3 pin fan plug......

(PS make sure that fan is a 12v fan and not a 5v model, the video card fan header may be powering that fan @5v)
