Ok right now I have two power color 4850's (512mb flavor) and ive had alot of issues with these cards mainly with crossfire. I can only run crossfire if i have the 8.10 drivers, if i get newer the crossfire tab dissapears. Im almost positive its a video bios issue and ive tried flashing it but having issues with that. So in short ive given up on that and im gona get an upgrade(was eventually gona get one so oh well)
Debating between two choices right now.
Choice 1 4870 x2
Choice 2 2 4870 (1gig) crossfired
Im not doing this for probably atleast 1 more month so maybe the new cards will be out then and i can get one of those.

"This card does NOT work in Crossfire with other brand 4850s".
That part?
I'm thinking it's not the card brand or model.

Of the 2 cards above, the 4870x2. You won't have to mess with crossfire then.

Well what i did was uninstall all ATI software then delete the ATI folder. Reboot in safe mode and use a driver cleaner. Then i downloaded the 8.10 drivers.

This is the proper procedure to install crossfire.. http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=51219
From my own experience, it's not plug n play. It takes a little more time/effort.
