the Geforce 4/R300.....the G4 MX 440 is faster than any G3....the R300 should be faster than any G4 from what ive heard, they will all have 128mb DDR....i would wait if ytou have a Geforce2/Radeon/KyroII or higher...

Their release date is very soon and after they have been released the Ti500 and 8500 prices will drop dramatically.

G4's should be in stores by May or June I'd say. Ati will probably be right on nvidia's tail with something new as well.

Accroding to here http://news.zdnet.co.uk/story/0,,t269-s2102711,00.html the GF4 launches Febuary 5th - that's real soon! Do you think GF3 ti200 will drop into $100 range after that? I'm in the market for a good v/c but my funds are very limited.

If I were you... i'd do what i'm going to do. Wait for the GeForce4 Eclipse. 128mb QDR @ 1ghz.. core clock at 700mhz, I believe. Should be quite the card :)

I currently have a 3D Prophet III, not OC'd yet... have to go and remind myself how to turn on CoolBits (since Hercules' Tweak3D doesn't like me) :)

That's what everyone (myself included) said when we learned about GeForce3 Ti's. We all thought and professed that GeForce3's (Non Ti) would go down drastically in price. But they're still just exactly as much as they were when they went down from their original $500. They have been at around $300 for months. The same is true of GeForce2 Ultras. Only they've gone UP. I got my Visiontek GF2U for $195. They're over $200 now.

Phreakin' nVidia marketing scams. Oh well, you get what you pay for. =)

well....GTSs and G2 Tis and 7500s and RadeonDDRs are at all time lows....so there was some benefit....i think the Ti200 will go into 100$ price range in 2-3 months.....

Hmm, i guess I need to do another buy from store/return cycle, this time with a GF3 TI200 to see if it's not a waste to put it into my antiquated BH6 mobo + Cel900@1008. If it'll work at all that is (agp 1.0 here, supposedly not enough juice to feed agp 2.0 devices). GF2 TI worked ok, but had a few glitches with coming out of sleep mode and a few more minor ones, but overall satisfactory. Does GF3 TI200 draw more power than GF2 TI, does anyone know? Is the fact that GF2 TI worked a fair indication GF3 ti200 will too?
Any idea where I can get my hands of tech specs of NVIDIA chips/boards - stuff like how many amper they use and at what voltage?
