judging by the viewing angles id be willing to bet those are TN pannels.

I thought the same thing. But even with the 170/160 viewing angles they were MVA panels. But now i cant find were it says that.Maybe they are 6 bit MVA panels..lol
I have a Soyo PVA panel monitor at home. Not sure what model it is at the moment, but it is a "Topaz S" like this. Some quick googling reveals "D6" "Topaz S" panels used to be PVA panels, but some people have started getting TN panels. Apparently the way to tell which is which, is by looking at the response time. If it says 6ms, it's a PVA panel. If it says 2ms or 5ms, it's a TN panel.

edit: further down in that thread, there is talk that the "D4" model is the new version that uses the S-PVA panels. That's your first linked one. The "D6" model (your second linked) used to be P-MVA, but after some time in 2007, they started manufacturing them with TN panels.
Also, from techbargains.com:
Price Drop. Geeks has the Refurbished Soyo GW-DYLM24D6 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor for a low $152.99 after Coupon Code: TECHBARGAINS (Ongoing) or MCEXCLUSIVES. $18.00 Shipping. Tax in CA.
No HDCP support?
Is that really necessary if you're just using it as a computer monitor?
I've had mine for over a year now and haven't run into any problems.

I actually want to find an LCD to mount on the wall in front of the treadmill for TV use. :)

I'm looking for EXACTLY the same thing. Drop me some love if you find one Dealmaster! :attn:
...refurbs are fine as it will probably only see use once a month!
