Hi All,

I'm trying to get a BartPE disk working so i can take a ghost image of my machine but can't seem to get the networking side of things working. This is vital as i'm storing my image on my NAS. I have a evga 680i and would appreciate if anybody could help me out with the drivers for this.

what nic do you have? i thought there were a bunch of native style drivers included in the image?

i used mini-pe a few times, and to get the network to be enabled you have to do it manually. is bartPE the same? have you done that if so?

I'm just using the NIC built in on my Nvidia 680i mobo. I have a plugin on BartPE which automatically searches for drivers when it starts.

may be try miniPE then.. get the latest version. it also has imaging software all built on the CD plus other bits n bobs.

once the fake XP type OS loads, you have to initialise the network. after that then you can get a dhcp address and use 'tinternet. :)

This page (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/help/english/drivers.htm) goes over how to add additional drivers to BartPE. The process is fairly simple -- you'll need the installer/ZIP for your mobo's network drivers. If the drivers are in a ZIP, it should be possible to just extract its contents as outlined. If the drivers are in a self-extracting EXE it should be possible to find the extracted installer & drivers in one of the temp folders (if not, you may need something like 7-Zip to manually extract the files from the exe).
