Try www.speedtest.net. It allows you to do a test of your download and upload speed.
Try this if you want to see what kps your connected at . http://webservices.cnet.com/bandwidth/

Boy am I envious! With my lowly dial up I on get on at a paltry
48K. :o
I got 900k but I am downloading some other things taking up bandwidth.

I use DUMeter ( http://www.dumeter.com )
I use Earthlink and you can find your speeds at anytime ur on. I think its wrong. sometimes it tells me 57,600bps
sometimes it shows me 46,666bps that sounds better

I use DU Meter as well. It's a small program that tell DL/UL speeds in seconds.
I got 1055 kbps. I love my cable.
And I use NetStat Live on ocaision. Its easier to look at that then to maximize all of the programs I have running looking for my d/l speed.
