What works well in dampening the noise from your PC case (besides off switch)
Any good materials or products anyone has found to reduce all that internal noise?

Trying to make as silent a PC as possible have huge silent watercooling setup and tuned rpm fans within machine plus dampend hard drives and now need to choose case dampening materials to further reduce audible noises.

So if you know what works well dont suffer in silence :-/

How about Dynamat? Should be easy to find at any car audio place, kinda pricey though.

You can use some roofing liners as well but they tend to smell like asphalt :p

edit: Couple other things from SPCR,

In principle what seems a winner here is a combination of rubber glued to the sheet metal to dampen the high frequencies and a layer of foam with the cones formed into it to break up the standing waves.

The lining has caused the temps to raise slightly but the fans inside the case can be powerd at 7volts as apposed to 4.5 with less noise than pre-fitted senario.

The triple rad outside of the machine can still only be ran with 4.5volts due to noise.

Think im in the acoustic zone now. Even had to put foam under two of the pumps because they have become the most audible running parts now.
winner!

Tell you something its weird gaming in silence after a decade of hair dryer noises and squeeling, knocking fan bearings with crunchy drive rhythm section.

Only took 3 rads, 4 pumps and a quater of the room to sort out (must move to bigger rooms LOL)

I will try real acoustic materials when I migrate the bits to a better case at some point in the future. But this case is`nt worth sticking with bad rivets and out of square not very well braced. Needs panels to hold it together Hmmm quality.
