I say 'new' because I just got a new mobo and ram(4gb now) because my mobo died.

So everything is finally setup and updated after 6+ hours...vista updates took 2 hours alone. What's weird to me is the "preset" quick boosts in it...First one would probably work ok but I still won't risk it. Time to do some research and see what my cpu can do again. I only set it to 3.2ghz with my dfi before, didn't bother going higher, didn't want to use too much voltage.

My thoughts were Easy tune`s complete donkey
why not the bios approach?
im just wondering (has easy tune got some hidden virtue?)

haha. its better if u overclock on BIOS, i dont trust overclocking using a software.

sometimes it might be unstable or over the limit

Should be able to get a quite a bit more than that yeah, have my wife's computer (Q6600 G0, EVGA 780i with stock intel fan) at 3.15 just for her to use normally :)
