Hey I'm on a list, cool!
New to this forum, and new to folding, but I've gotta say its addictive. I just wish I had the budget to burn on a bunch of 295s or something baller. Definately trying to ball on a budget with a fleet of 96 stream cards though haha.

My budget cards are 9800 GX2 cards when I can find them for $200 or so, Can't beat 2 x 128 shaders with a min of 8000 PPD combined really. Ok, over here in my time zone we only have 12 mins before the madness starts so lets get it on and show MPC what we can do! It's on like donkey kong!!

Now, now... we have approximately two hours before the show begins. We have to keep in sync with the West coast. ;)
Stats are coming in... starting number will be posted tomorrow afternoon. :) Good luck to everyone!
Oh yeah, WTF all you (mile)stoners!!!

Yeah I've been snatching up 8800GS's/9600GSO's when I see them for ~$50. They do 2800-4500 PPD each depending on WUs, but the problem is the lack of PCIE slots. I'll definately make the jump to newer cards when I have the money to burn.

WOOO!! Made a list :D WTF everyone  I'm ready to go for March Madness, have my gpu shader at 1827 (although riva tuners monitoring reads it as 1836) but i reckon theres more to be had.

At $50 each that is cheaper PPDs. I didn't know the GS's ran that good. I have a 8800 GTS 320mb (Old G80) that barely hits those numbers :)

I agree that those numbers are very good for a $50 card, but like SM said, it becomes a problem having enough PCI-e slots to get huge PPD numbers like you have (75k PPD). My 8800GTS's get 5529 PPD on the 384 pointers, but they cost about $100-125 each.
As a comparison running the 384 pointers,
It would take 20 8800GS's to generate 75k, requiring 10 2-slot mobos.
It would take 14 8800GTS's to generate 75k, requiring 7 2-slot mobos.
I'm guessing that it would take about 7-8 9800GX2's to generate 75k, requiring 4 2-slot mobos.

How do you find that number in rivatuner?

To access the monitoring data, open RivaTuner and go to the Main tab. In the top section labeled Display Adapters, click on the button next to the word Customize. In the popup that appears, click on the 5th icon which should be Hardware Monitoring. It will open a window with a bunch of trend graphs. These graphs will tell you the core speed, shader speed, memory speed, temp, fan speed, etc. for all of your GPU's.
