My laptop has two hard drive bays, and I want to move my hdd to the other bay because the one is it now has to be on top of the CPU or GPU. It gets really hot when I'm gaming. The other bay however is room temperature.

When I tried moving the hard drive, I got a no operating system found error. How can I get my computer to recognize that I have moved the drive, and then boot from it?

rebuild the MBR so it now recognizes the change in HDD config. What OS?

Vista x64 and Win7 x86 dual boot. I would go into the repair console and use the "fixmbr" command, correct? Or am i thinking of something else/

scratch it, I'm just going to install Win7 x64 so that I can use my extra gig of ram. While I'm at it I'll move it over to the other bay.
