LOL, that's the Vanguard customer discount. I'll bet intuit patches this loophole but it may not happen until next year. This 100% discount beats the 25% discount I was going to use via Fidelity.

They have the Freedom Edition that is free to file if you make under a certain amount of money. I used to do that in the past but now I dont qualify.

Tried turbotax twice and was screwed both times. I should have gotten back MUCH more than I did.

nope, definitely dead... Glad i got in when I did.. Free fed e-file still, but no free state anymore..

still good for people who don't have state income tax

Side note, I used Taxact again this year, and paid the $13 or whatever to file the state return electronically. I talked to my mother a few weeks after that, and she mentioned filing state free. Apparently, starting this year in CT it's free to file through the department of revenue's site. Of course Taxact didn't mention it. Not using them next year :)

i used taxcut the last 4 years. is turbotax better then taxcut. taxCUT is the only one i've had experience with...it seems to do good
