hi all.
i got back into Prostreet yesterday, downloaded the Energizer Lithium pack (more cars and tracks) and patched to v1.1

as soon as started a race, i noticed lag. before i could run it maxed at 70-80fps.

so i started fraps and got back into the game.
in the menu it flew at 100+fps, then in a race, the fps didn't budge from 30.

google a bit and they seem to have capped the fps to 30, because ppl posted problems of glitching etc when running at high fps.

anybody know where i could find the config file to somehow disable/change the fps cap? :)

thanks.

i really dont want to download this demo again and hunt.
try something though, try all low settings except the res and see whats up, some one on another message board said low settingsmoved the cap to 60

as for what INI file its in open em up and hit Ctrl + F and then do a search for FPS or something along those lines, save you time hunting line for line
it also may not be in there and may be something like a console command, if the console is get to able in this game or is even there

hmm, i tried lowest resolution and world/car settings, but still caps at 30fps.
i was thinking it'd be a hidden file normally, so i enabled all folders to show, but can't find a prostreet folder anywhere in my documents. i'm using Vista btw, so maybe it's a different directory.

damn this fps cap. they coudln't be bothered fixing the high fps glitching or something so they just capped it instead.
how can they think 30fps is acceptable, i can literary see the lag. all 30 frames running each second :p not really...but yeh. so laggy and uncomfortable.

The config files are generally somewhere in the install directory for the game. I've only ever noticed save games going to the Documents folder.
