That is very nice and all, but with the introduction of DDR333 and more importantly DDRII eventually, will it ever be supported? Am I correct in assuming that a chipset must support this type of memory to utilize it? If so, by the time such a chipset comes out, DDRII should be available anyways. A neat technology, but like anything useless if it does not get support...

This Quad Data Rate memory is not for desktops. It's SRAM not SDRAM. If you read the review it for netoworks and communications. It seems to be the same technology as RDRAM
