have ya actually heard both Dissolved? I have both of them right here in two machines and i'll vote for the hercules, the S*******s have major issues with popping and stuff, especially with via chipsets pre-kt266a, including the Audigy series. I really think the sound quality and connectivity of the Herc is much better, but that's personal opinion, both sound good when the Audigy is working right.

What do you mean by that? Hercules' drivers for this card make it the only card that can do 6.1 DTS and DD! get it straight man, this card really rocks, the audigy works well too, but no 6.1 and if you use the via chipsets you'll more than likely have headaches like many of the rest of us had/have.
I have both and like the Hercules better. Lower signal to noise ratio and better sound quality make it a winner for me. The break out box is also very cool and makes pluging things in a snap....no more crawling behind the machine. The USB ports on the front of the break out box are also very handy. I also run a optical cable from the box to an Adcom D/A converter for an awesome MP3 box with the stereo.

I just got the Game Theater Xp, and it sounds great. It produces some very nice and deep Bass tones. And i have expierenced no popping of course i do have the AMD 761 chipset. But the drivers for XP didn't want to take, but i finally did get it up and running. Best soundcard i have ever owned, and it beats the panst off of my former soundcard. But i should add that my old soundcard was a Diamond Monster SOund MX400. Overall a good card.

Aslo i forgot to ad that it never hurts to have 4 extra USB ports. And lastly i like the fact that i don't have to crawl behind my desk to hook up new audio equipment that i may buy in the future.

Well a vote for the GTXP here. Had mine a few months now, sounds great, no problems. I vowed not to go back to Creative after my last Live :)
