yeah i ran my delta clone on my 6cu+ @ 17v , and it hurt my ears , and i listen to alot of loud music
im guessing it was around 90 Db :mad:
just wondering if any one has gone past that like 20v or 24 v

i dont think thats safe... running a motor over its rated voltage would cuase it to burn up if im not mistaken..

90db would literally make you deaf after a while. I'm pretty sure yo can't go pat 17v since there's a built in safeguard in the fans. It would be pretty cool to have one running at 24v, though

i didnt have it running for long , as i couldnt stand it
and i have ran a 80 mm fan @ 23V any higer and it would quit working , and u would have to restart it
it put out alot of cfm

Overvolting the fan can burn out the windings, I wouldn't go higher than about 14V on a 12V fan if you want it to last at all.
