TX850 baffled by the baffle

why is it there?
seems to me, its blocking half of the sinks

if i pulled it thru the fan grill
and tossed it
would i void my warranty?

You can maybe try contacting Corsair to see, but I would think so. Even though you don't open up the PSU. You're still(in a way) modifying the inside of the unit by removing it. The Corsair CSR could give a better answer though.

Leave it, they put it there for a reason. Removing it might void the warranty as you are modifying the PSU, yes.

It's there to channel airflow to where it's needed. It will run hotter without it. Yes, removing it will kill the warranty.

From what I've seen it's not a problem part until it rubs against the fan blades.
