I have a problem with ram.
Which would you choose?
I can get one 128 mg stick of pc150 to boot at 9x133/33.
Sandra scores: 498/549.
I can get two sticks (the 128+256) of pc 150 to boot at only 12x101/33.
Sandra scores: 400/427.
I use windows xp on a kt7a-raid, athlon 1.2.
Which is best, 128 at these scores, or more ram with lower score.
By the way, I get better cpu scores at the 12x101 setting (3402 vs. 3352)
Thanks.

Go for more RAM, 128 is too low for good performance in WinXP from what I understand. You could try just the 256MB stick too and see how that goes.

You can do better then that with PC 150. With 384meg of Mushkin rev3 at 150mhz in my KT7A-R I am getting 629/702! Not bad for good old sdram. Make sure the mem you get is cas2 so that you can max out the memory timings.

Use the 256 meg of ram you will need the extra. Try bumping the I/O voltage a touch and see if that helps you run the mem a little faster. Quality memory is important and with the low prices we have now it could be a worthwhile invertment.
