I was looking into upgrading to 8GB of RAM...mainly just looking. Anyways I wanted to do a price check on what I currently have and I found these 2

the only thing I really noticed was the timings where different. But the price is virtually the same. I've got the 7-7-7-24 pair already. Would it be best to go ahead and get that same module? My gut says yes, but then why is the other memory just as cheap?

You need to go with what you have or as close as you can else replace it all don't mix and match as this may restrict you to single channel mode. In essence you need the same size chips on the memory modules (not the same as module capacity) and the timings will be the timings of the lesser module so if you must keep your current don't expect to run them at different timings.
