Need some help on some weird msg's im getting on start up

I just built my first computer earlier today, here are the specs

Asus PQ5 P45/ICH10R Motherboard
Intel Core2Duo e7400
Sapphire HD 4850 512mb GDDR3
OCZ DDR2 4gb PC2-6400 Reaper (2x2048)
WD 320 SATA II 7200 rpm 16mb (WD3200AAKS)

Everything went fine except every time I boot up after the ASUS splash screen, it says Adapter 1: Hard Disk not detected. It hangs here for about a minute or 2 and Windows XP starts to load

In the BIOS it says the hard drive is detected and I'm able to load Windows a couple minutes later so its definitely there. I'm not too sure why it displays that message. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Disable the Marvell IDE controller in the BIOS.
