I have found some PII 450's on ebay that are going very reasonable. I plan to upgrade mine to the max which is a 450. I have intel's spec sheet in front of me, and it shows only two different processors, the only difference is one is a S.E.C.C form factor and the other is an S.E.C.C.2 form. The S.E.C.C.2 also has a different thermal spec which is 90 degrees celsius whereas the other one has a thermal spec of 70 degrees. Both have dB0 steppings.

Also can you tell me what stepping is.

My question is which one is better, or doesn't it matter?

I tend to agree with Yodums here. You answered your own question. Don't matter much. The stepping's the same.

EDIT: Yodums--- congrats on 4000 posts!

Actually I put the wrong subject title. I need to know what stepping is (definition or explanation), and what thermal spec means. I need to know which processor is better, the one with 90 degree thermal spec or the one with the 70 degree spec?
