OK i got the epox ekha+. I love the board and was hoping for a decent overclock. Well my load tempertures on a athalon 1.4 are always under 100f so i figured i should be able to overclock pretty well. I go to overclock and i can barely run at 144fsb and the multiplyer set to 10.5. ive heard somewhere that win200 is bad to overclock with and if thats the case im going back to 98. IF thats not the case should i RMA the board and see if the new one overclocks better. thanks
What is wrong with the board? They won't RMA it because you can't overclock. Put your temperatures in celius in cooling we use celius it could be something else haulting you back.
Voltage did you increase that?
Whats your cooler and whats teh CELIUS temperature?
Ram?
etc etc. PSU..

ok my temp is around 30-32. i have a 400 watt antec ps. 2x256 pc2100 crucial ram. i have tried different voltages and it didnt make a difference. And i can rma the board because the ps2 ports dont work. and my cooler of choice is the alpha 8045
Have you flashed the board to the latest bios ?
Go to www.aoafiles.com and get the 8KHA+ bios 8khal1226.bin
That was good for 170fsb on my board.
On the stock bios I couldnt get over 150fsb.
Im using win2k so thats not your problem, although I have found that ovrclocks that appeared stable with win98 where not in 2k. 2k is much better than 98 (faster too) that Id never use anything else.
Have a look in the epoz section in this forum or have a look at www.aoaforums.com for info on the 8kha+
