Hercules Game Theater XP S/PDIF out

I trying to hook my Mini Disc player to my Computer, im useing a Game Theater XP and I'm going from the S/PDIF out on my sound card to the Mini Disk player. It is all hooked up right, but how do I select the S/PDIF out? I need help, cause I want to listen to my MP3s on the go. Please help me.

go into the taskbar utility and play with the settings there and see what you come up with, i think it is in the last menu where you select digital output source or something, another good way to find out is to refer to the help file on the thing, i had to read almost all of it to get my config right, but once i did, it was really easy. what software player are you using for the playback as well? it might be a setting in there that you need to change.
